The awesome Race Asia can be a reality game series based on the American series The awesome Race. On 17 October 2005, CBS gave additional states the opportunity to franchise The Amazing Race. The Asian cable TV network AXN Asia was one of the first ever to find the rights to create a version for its own lands. The series is created by television manufacturing company ActiveTV, for AXN, in conjunction with Buena Vista International Television-Asia Pacific. The host to the series is Singapore established celebrity Allan Wu. The trophy is US$100,000, whilst the American series gives a way US$1,000,000. The overall manager of SPE Networks-Asia which runs AXN,'' Ricky Ow explained the smaller prize, saying,"It's is not really about the money but the action and possibility to maintain just another of the world's greatest reality shows".
