Portrait of a Beauty

Yoon-jeong, who is seven years old, was born into a family of well-known court painters. She is very good at painting. But the pressure is on her brother to carry on the proud family tradition, since women aren't allowed to become professional painters. While her brother trains to take his place in the court, Yoon-jeong helps him out by painting for him in secret. The little girl's life gets turned upside down when her brother kills himself. In order to keep the family's honor, she is forced to take her brother's name and live as a man. Kim Hong-do loves Yun-bok because of how smart and talented he is. But the royal institute says that her bold depictions of women are obscene and should not be shown to anyone. Yun-bok meets Kang-mu and falls deeply in love with her. For the first time, she has a strong desire to give up everything she has built and just be a woman in front of the man she loves. Kang-moo gives up everything for his love as well.
