The O.C.

The show focuses on Ryan Atwood, a troubled youth in the broken home who is adopted by the philanthropic Sandy and Kirsten Cohen. His brother Seth and ryan, a teenager that is socially embarrassing yet quickwitted, deal as outsiders in the universe of Newport Beach. Ryan and Seth spend time exploring their connections Seth's childhood crush Summer Roberts, and also the loner Taylor Townsend. Story traces deal with the materialistic, and also closed minded community in which they live and the culture clash between the idealistic Cohen family. The show comprises components of post modernism, and functions as a blend of comedy and melodrama.
