Sophie's Choice

Stingo moves to Brooklyn in 1947 to begin work on his book. He discovers that she is just a Holocaust survivor as he becomes friendly with her lover Nathan and Sophie. Flashbacks reveal her story, from prewar wealth to Auschwitz. From the present, Nathan's relationship and Sophie unravels Nathan mental state becomes ever more apparent and as Stingo grows closer to Sophie.
